Country Fresh Orange Juice Bread
A recipe for homemade bread made with country fresh eggs & real juice!
Items needed:
1/2 cup butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup milk
For icing:
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon orange juice
1/3 cup sugar
Cream butter and sugar. Beat eggs and add. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix orange juice and milk. Add liquids alternately with dry ingredients and creamed mixture.
Butter 11x4x3-inch loaf pan or 2 small loaf pans. Line bottom of pan with waxed paper and butter the paper. Bake at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes.
Combine lemon, orange juice and sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat and brush breads with icing as soon as they are taken from the oven.
