Old Fashioned Homemade Coffee Cake
Savor the aroma while baking and later enjoy the cake with some coffee!
Items needed:2 cups flour
2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons shortening
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
For topping:
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
finely chopped nuts
Mix cake ingredients together and beat at high speed for 3 minutes. Pour into a greased 9x13-inch pan. Mix together topping ingredients. Sprinkle the topping ingredients ontop of the poured cake mixture in the pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for approx. 40 minutes or until it tests done.
